The Engineering Academy is a collaboration between the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Kelvin College, other partner colleges and industry. It provides a pathway to BEng Honours or MEng-level programmes in an engineering discipline at Strathclyde University.

The first year of the Engineering Academy programme is taken at college and you will study an enhanced HNC Mechanical Engineering course.

You will study towards an enhanced HNC in Mechanical Engineering.

The course includes the classical, well-established subject areas associated with mechanical engineering.

Examples include:
Engineering Mathematics; Materials Science; Solid Mechanics; Thermodynamics; Fluid Mechanics;
Fluid Power; Computer Aided Design.

As stated, this course is in conjunction with The University of Strathclyde.

Campus location may be subject to change.

4 Highers including Maths and Physics at B

Progression Routes

You will progress into year two of a BEng Honours or MEng programmes within one of the following Strathclyde University engineering departments: - Civil and Environmental Engineering - Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management - Electronic and Electrical Engineering - Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering - Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering.
