This course is for individuals interested in a career in the social care field or those wishing to pursue further study, for example, to the Degree in Social Work.

It is also suitable for individuals who are employed in the care field and require qualifications for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council and/or continual professional development.

You will study:
Care in Contemporary Society; Lifespan Development Theoretical Approaches; Care Practice; Health, Wellbeing and Safeguarding; Promoting Positive Behaviour; Mental Health Issues in a Care Setting.

Tuesday and Thursday - 6.00pm - 9.00pm

Entry Requirements

2 Highers preferably including English; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

Progression Routes

Degree in Social Work, HND Social Science, employment.
