Through the course you will learn how to:

Write to express feeling, using a clear structure and clearly identifying those feelings.

Write about an event from varied points of view, ensuring the event is consistently imagined and a variety of techniques is used.

Write to convey relationship, ensuring the relationship emerges clearly

In all cases, you will learn how to use appropriate language and ensure that spelling and punctuation do not obstruct the intended meaning.

Progression Routes

On completion of this course, you may wish to progress to English Language Study at SCQF Level 5. Depending on your confidence you could go straight on to Literature 1 which is at SCQF Level 6, although you may wish to ask the advice of your tutor.
