Content

To help students produce and evaluate examples of spoken and written communication, Communication (NC) at level 6 is comparable to Higher English in the rigour of its assessment. The SQA unit is also known as Communication 4.

Throughout this unit you will:

Analyse and evaluate complex written communication; Produce complex written communication;
Analyse and evaluate complex spoken communication; Deliver and participate in complex spoken communication.

You will study this course through a taught class over approximately 26 weeks.

Entry Requirements

The candidate would normally be expected to have achieved Communication at National 5

Progression Routes

After this course, you may wish to complete the Literature 1 course by open learning. The combination of Communication at Higher level and Literature 1 can be used as an equivalent to English Higher as an entry qualification for some HN and Degree courses.
