The University of Stirling MSc Investment Analysis has a world-class reputation and is the UK’s longest-established postgraduate course in the field. It is also one of very few masters degrees in the UK to be recognised as an affiliated university under the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute University Affiliation Program (UAP).

You will study the use of qualitative and quantitative techniques to value investments, and will develop and evaluate portfolio management strategies. You will also develop the ability to extract essential information from financial reports, understand risk management tools, assess macroeconomic and financial market trends, and analyse financial data relating to investments.

You can exit after 3 months with PgCert Investment Analysis

You can exit after 9 months with PgDip Investment Analysis.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of a second class Honours degree or equivalent. Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.

In addition, if you have professional qualifications such as The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1, we still encourage you to apply.

INTO University of Stirling offers a Graduate Diploma for those students who do not meet the required criteria for this course. If you successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Business, Finance and Sport and meet the required progression grades, you will be guaranteed entry onto this Master's degree.
