Engineering Systems (2nd year entry)

This course is intended for those wishing to pursue a career in engineering at more advanced technician or engineer level. The course offers students the chance to study a wide range of engineering subjects from various disciplines.

The course includes:

Engineering measurement and systems monitoring; Mathematics for engineering 3; Safety engineering and the environment; Engineering systems: graded unit 2; Principles of safe engineering systems; Design for manufacture; Engineering systems analysis: system modelling and control; Project management; Business awareness.

Entry Requirements

HNC in Engineering Systems, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Interview and aptitude test.

Progression Routes

Possible progression to Degree level of study. Successful students will have the opportunity to progress to Edinburgh Napier University Engineering Degree Courses (direct entry into year 3).
