This course will give you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to work successfully in a management role in the construction industry. It’s mainly theory based, with a small amount of practical work.

You will: look at substructure; focus on construction technology; develop skills in basic construction planning and programming; learn how to safely manage a site; learn about administrative processes; develop skills in CAD (Computer Aided Draughting); look at common building services; carry out practical tasks.

Options for completing this course on a day release basis are also available.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher, preferably English, Maths or a science subject, or Foundation Apprenticeship Civil Engineering, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

Relevant HND or progression to employment, or university, which may include articulation arrangements with a variety of degree courses.
