The MSc Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Research is designed to provide eye care professionals with academic knowledge and practical skills they need to contribute to groundbreaking medical advancements and effectively diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular conditions.
A combination of core and elective modules and research opportunities – with a research project making up one-third of the programme – allows you to customise your studies based on your personal interests and professional requirements. This includes the option to select a specialisation leading to a named degree on completion of your dissertation:
MSc Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Research (General); MSc Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Research (Diabetes); MSc Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Research (Therapeutics).
A UK 2:2 Honours degree (or equivalent) in Optometry, or other vision-related subject. Alternatively UK General Optical Council (GOC) registration (MCOptom).
