The key purpose of this Course is to develop learners’ advanced administrative and IT skills and, ultimately, to enable them to contribute to the effective functioning of organisations in supervisory administrative positions.

The course includes various practical and theoretical classroom-based lessons which are complemented with IT lessons in computer labs. The course includes the SQA Higher in Administration & IT course and ECDL Advanced units that certificate you with a Level 3 ITQ Certificate.

A selection of SQA units at Higher level including: Administrative Theory and Practice, IT Solutions for Administrators, Communication in Administration, Marketing Mix and Event Organisation. As you study towards achieving the online European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Advanced IT assessments, a significant amount of time will be spent gaining advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications covering Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases and Presentations. Core Skills are also included covering IT, Numeracy and Communication.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5, English, Maths and Administration and IT preferred. Advice Session and Interview.
