The programme is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). These accreditations provide graduates access to RICS and CIOB membership via the graduate routes. All second year full-time students have the opportunity to spend one week in Europe as part of their studies.
Fundamental Principles of Basic Technology and Design, including Materials and Construction Techniques, and Introduction to the Legal and Commercial sides of Quantity Surveying.
Core Quantity Surveying skills including Contractual and Commercial Knowledge and Key Quantification and Technology Skills.
Industry Placement and Estimating, Further Technology Skills.
Project Management & Construction Contracts, elective option including Commercial Management, Dispute Resolution, Negotiation and Sustainability in the Built Environment.
3 Highers at BBC plus National 5 English and Maths.
You must be in suitable full-time employment as a trainee Quantity Surveyor or Estimator and be supervised by more senior staff within the organisation.
