Glenrothes (Stenton) Campus
This is a mainly theory-based course which includes the important knowledge and skills for successful employment. These are studied in the context of both practical and theoretical classes, including the following:
Computer aided design (REVIT/AutoCAD); Building information modelling (BIM) processes; Construction technology; Construction materials; Building science; Design and sketching; Architectural procedures; Building services; Sustainability in construction; Maths; Fire safety; Health and safety; Construction contracts.
1 Higher in a science or technological subject plus 3 subjects at National 5 including Maths, or Foundation Apprenticeship Civil Engineering, or NC Civil Engineering, or other relevant national subjects at SCQF Level 6. Interview and portfolio of work.
2nd/3rd Year BSc programmes in Architectural Technology at various universities or entry to year one of an MArch course.
