Designed to support students who are interested in pursuing a career, at technician level, within the construction industry. The course offers a mix of craft and technical units, enabling you to develop the knowledge, skills and experience required. It offers a diverse learning experience combining theory-based units, delivered as classroom-based lectures and tutorials, with more hands-on practical units delivered in workshops.

Includes renewable energies units:

Domestic Woody Biomass Heating Systems; Domestic Rainwater Harvesting Systems; Domestic Greywater Recycling Systems; Domestic Air Source Heat Pumps; Domestic Ground Source Heat Pumps; Domestic Solar Hot Water Systems; Domestic Underfloor Heating Systems; Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems; Domestic Wind Systems; Photovoltaic (PV) Arrays. Additional units in maths, plumbing and communications.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 preferably including English, Maths and a science subject. Relevant NPA construction course.
