Educational trusts and charities
There are all sorts of trusts and charities that give money to students.
The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) holds a Register of Educational Endowments. You can ask them to search the register for you by filling in form REE1. You can download it from their website at www.saas.gov.uk/student_support/other_funding.htm or write to them for a copy.

The Carnegie Trust offers a number of different scholarships and bursaries including:

fee assistance to help undergraduates to first degree courses who are not eligible for SAAS support

a vacation scholarship to help undergraduates who want to do research during the summer break

Carnegie-Cameron Taught Postgraduate Bursaries for students doing a one-year taught postgraduate degree.
